Squaw Valley, the stellar ski resort in Lake Tahoe, CA has a super deal: just show them your boarding pass on the day you arrive (at the Reno airport) and they'll give you a free half day ski pass. We flew into Reno, landed at 9am, we were at Squaw Creek Resort before noon and showed them our boarding passes.
Remember: if you fly Southwest, print a duplicate of your boarding pass since they collect them now, rather than merely scanning.
This is a deal and a half! The half-day pass sells for $64.
